Tips for navigation

Moodle software was designed specifically for teachers and students from Primary through to Tertiary Education and is used by hundreds of institutions around the world. Each school creates a slightly different themed Moodle site to meet their needs.

IRSP have upgraded their old Moodle site with some new and exciting features of the latest version of Moodle LMS. We hope you find this new version easier and invite your feedback. Please look for a link in the footer to report errors or improvement feature requests.

Guided Tours

The first time you come to certain page types you will see a guided tour. The pop-up windows show you a step-by-step guide to navigating your way around the website. If you would like to see the tour again you may find a link in the left footer to 'reset user tours'.

Quick Navigation tips:

Use the back button on your browser to go back to the main page

Use the yellow breadcrumbs at the top of the page to find the course home page. or site dashboard

Look for links at the bottom of the content to move on to the next section

Bookmark your favourite pages (Ctrl + D)
Drag the link to this course to your bookmark toolbar (Ctrl + shift + B to show bookmarks)
Easily print any page (Ctrl + P)

Look for the link at the bottom right of this page to move on to the next activity...  it is an example of how you can make a choice and then see what other learners contributed.

As you explore the course and perform each task a green check mark on the right side of the page will indicate completion.  (Please note that if you use right click > open in New Window the task may not be marked as complete). Although not all  tasks are compulsory, we strongly encourage you to attempt each of these important tasks. Many tasks are collaborative. So if you already are competent in a specific area then we need you to contribute your experience to assist your peers. Although the forums may not be facilitated, they still provide a great opportunity for you to share information and chat with your fellow  learners.
