Course Overview

If you have ever been involved in an emergency response, you know how complex it can be to organise all the moving parts and stakeholders into strong, cohesive groups. Communication and coordination is a key part of every successful response. Yet not everyone knows communication and coordination best practices. Not everyone knows the nuts and bolts of the Incident Command System. And not everyone knows how to identify and map relevant stakeholders in an emergency.

In this course, "Communication and Coordination," you'll learn all about these topics and more.

Competency in communication and coordination is a priority for public health emergency response managers at country-level and for pandemic prevention and management in the entire ECOWAS region. This course will teach you about communication and coordination as a tool necessary for effective response to epidemic and pandemic emergencies.

It is designed to help build the communications and coordination capacity among senior government officials, NGO management, and leaders from regional agencies and entities.
