Learning Activity 1: Create a Risk Communications Plan

You know the situation in your country and Neighborville. Since you're in charge of risk communications, you'll need to develop a plan. Start here:

  • Define the broad goals of your plan.
  • Set SMART objectives for your plan.
  • Identify key influencers and how to reach them.

Kindly use risk communication plan template attached. It will be useful if everyone comes to the face-to-face workshop with the same ideas and thoughts in alignment.

For purposes of identifying stakeholders and influencers, please see the attached document: "Regional Risk Communication in the Event of Disease Outbreaks and Epidemics in the ECOWAS Region." Both your country and Neighborville are Member States, so your risk communication plan should be in alignment with the priorities and design of the Strategy.

Please use this naming convention on all of your assignments:

LastNameFirstInitial_LA#

For example, when Angelique Kidjo turns in her Learning Activity for this topic, it will be named:

KidjoA_LA1

(LA = Learning Activity)

Upload your completed risk communication plan. The citizens of your country and Neighborville are counting on you!
