Learning Activity 2: Conduct a SWOT Analysis.

How's everything going with the Rift Valley Fever outbreak response in your country and Neighborville?

Now that you've got your basic risk communication plan developed, it's a good time to conduct a SWOT analysis -- to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats -- based on what you know about your organization and the situation you face. Use the attached SWOT template, or create one of your own.

Per the "Regional Strategy for Communication and Coordination Between Institutions in the ECOWAS Region for the Control of Epidemics", inter-institutional communication and coordination must be in alignment with existing regional health strategies and structures -- as well as the mandates of the ECOWAS Commission, WAHO, RCSDC, RAHC, and institutions at the national level. You'll find the Strategy document attached here, along with a SWOT worksheet.
Did you include this in your Risk Communication Plan? You still have time to make updates. Consider ECOWAS inter-institutional communication and coordination as part of your SWOT analysis. Thanks for your hard work on behalf of the people in your country and Neighborville.

Please use this naming convention on all of your assignments:

LastNameFirstInitial_LA#

For example, when Kylian Mbappé turns in his Learning Activity, it will be named:

MbappeK_LA2

(LA = Learning Activity)
